CC 201 01R (CC 201 77 01R)
this locomotive first served in the years 04-11-1977, CC 201 01R is the CC 201 Generation 1 locomotive which came from General Electric for the first time in 1977, but actually the CC 201 01R has not served directly that year because CC 201 Generation 1 when was on its way to Indonesia, the ship carrying amounted to 28 units, was hit by a storm in Cape of Good Hope in Africa so that the cargo and anchor of the ship hit and overturned several CC 201's so that CC 201 01 and some of his friends who were struck down by the ship when they arrived in Indonesia could not immediately be killed because they remembered the damage was quite severe due to being hit by the ship's cargo, but for CC 201 Generation 1 survivors could be operated immediately.
CC 201 01 (CC 201 77 01) arrived in Indonesia in a damaged condition due to squashed cargo and the anchor of the ship that hit this locomotive.

On november 4
1997 CC 201 01 was able to serve and placed in main depo Bandung
City, CC 201 01 used to serve executive trains, business
train, local trains and etc. But age of the locomotive is getting older and
this locomotive must be faced with to choices, which are upgraded to CC
204 or just become a locomotive of experiment or repowering

Finally CC 201 01 changed to CC 201 01R after being repowered in 2004 by Balai Yasa Pengok and General Electric, and CC 201 01R was immediately placed in Main Dipo Sidotopo Surabaya. Then in 2011,and then CC 201 01R underwent Final Maintenance and immediately used the new PT KAI logo and was given a Fog Lamp plus new number by replacing the Right and left side of the cabin window with the CC 201 77 01R number, in 2012 CC 201 01R expandable again, this time the coupler opening was changed to like CC 201 Batch 2 and 3,after 2 years of service, in 2014 CC 201 01R expandable again , but this time the most unfortunate Number Plate under the Cowcather was removed, and the Cowcatherwas painted gray and unfortunately the Remanufactured Plate was removed.
then in 2016, CC 201 01R must being upgraded again by Balai Yasa Pengok this time all the Tralis were removed and put a shovel on the Cowcather, also the Glass was changed to Polycarbonate Glass, but CC 201 01R had not been returned to SDT because it had to be licensed first in the Cowcather, also the Glass was changed to Polycarbonate Glass.before the locomotive is returned to the Sidotopo main depot, the locomotive serves with a local trains in Jakarta main depot
